The official Pinellas County, Florida real estate statistics have been released for July, 2020. Closed and pending sales are once again up over this time last year, and prices continue to climb. Here’s what a closing looks like during a pandemic
This mother/daughter duo closed on the purchase of a home they bought “sight unseen”! They saw the home for the first time at the final walk through after driving cross country in their rental truck!
Of course, this closing followed CDC guidelines with everyone wearing masks, a clear partition between the closing agent and buyers with documents slipped underneath, and me at the far end of the table…this is actually the first title company that has allowed a Realtor to attend a closing since the start of the pandemic. The new normal….. Congratulations to the happy new homeowners

With the low interest rates driving many homeowners to refinance, the main loan investors, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are implementing a fee on new refinances to recoup some of the losses they have incurred due to loans in forbearance (and other related losses due to the pandemic). It was supposed to take effect yesterday, 9/1/2020, but has been postponed until 12/1/2020.
